Coco Villa has two room types, designed for solo travellers and couples. Both share the essentials: a private bathroom with shower, towels and bed linen, a balcony and a terrace facing the sea, individual air conditioning plus a fan, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe and tiled floors.
The main difference is how many of you are travelling: the single room sleeps one and also looks onto the garden, while the Deluxe double room sleeps two and adds an electric kettle. It can also connect to another room, which is handy for friends or family travelling together.

Life at Coco Villa moves between the outdoor pool, open all year round, the garden and the terrace, with Mahébourg Bay as the backdrop. The continental breakfast can also be packed to take away for an excursion or an early flight.
To explore the south-east, the property offers bike rental at extra charge and car rental, as well as water sports and snorkelling, also at extra charge. Coco Villa is on Shivananda Road in Mahébourg, a town founded by the French in the early 19th century on Grand Port Bay. The Waterfront is 250 m away and several restaurants are within 200 m.
Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is about 3 km away, just a few minutes' drive. A taxi or private transfer is the easiest option; if you're travelling light, buses 9, 10 and 198 link the airport with Mahébourg, and the bus station is a 700 m walk, about 10 minutes. Bus 198 carries on to Port Louis. Check-in runs from 12:00 to 19:00, so let the property know your arrival time in advance. There's no parking on site, but in Mahébourg walking and the bus cover most of what you'll need.
Start with the Waterfront, where fishermen moor their boats, at its best at sunrise, then the market, at its liveliest on Monday mornings, for fruit, spices and dholl puri. The National History Museum, housed in an 18th-century colonial mansion and devoted in part to the 1810 Battle of Grand Port, has been closed for renovation since December 2025, so check whether it has reopened before you go. For swimming, Pointe d'Esny beach is 2.3 km away and Blue Bay 3.3 km, with its protected marine park, ideal for snorkelling or a glass-bottom boat trip. From Pointe Jérôme, a boat reaches Île aux Aigrettes in about ten minutes, a nature reserve visited with guides from the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. Walkers can head to La Vallée de Ferney, 5.6 km away, for trails through native forest. The best time to visit is May to October, milder and drier; November to April is hot and humid, with a cyclone risk mostly between late December and mid-April.
